RFLAGS
The x86-64 register whose individual bits (CF, ZF, SF, OF…) record the outcome of the last arithmetic or logic operation.
Conditional jumps (je, jl, ja…) don't compare anything themselves: they test bits of RFLAGS set by an earlier instruction such as cmp or test. Signed comparisons use SF and OF, unsigned ones use CF.
